## Description

The chameleon goby is typically found in shallow waters or downstream of rivers, where it seeks refuge under rocks, in crevices, burrows, or among seaweed. These fish are most easily spotted at night, when they emerge to hunt for crustaceans, lugworms, and tubifex worms. Characterized by their elongated cylindrical bodies, chameleon gobies have flat heads, and their tail-end is slightly flattened to the side.
