Sagoonja is a popular painting topic in the Land of the Morning Light. It refers to four plants: maehwa blossoms that bloom first in early Spring, orchids that spread their fragrance in the deep valleys, chrysanthemums that bloom in late autumn, and bamboo plants that do not wither even in the cold of winter.
