The Heungcheong office to house women to entertain the king was established, along with the position of Royal Concubine Inspector.

A petition was submitted to the king by the National Affairs Bureau, warning him against being beguiled by beauty and bestowing undue favor. Those who dared to submit this petition met a grim fate, facing decapitation.
