Description
Old, foolish memories have come rushing back. I recall how I longed for immortality, a life that would never end. He came bearing the Black Spirit NPC Knowledge, saying it was my only hope of a new beginning. He claimed it was the will of the god—the sole way to save this land.
So I embraced his offer and believed the day I yearned for was at hand. Even now, I cannot banish that moment from my soul... the cries of the sacrificed, the voice of a god, and the explosion.
That was the birth of my second life. I was reborn, living once more... and dying all over again. I once cheated death in times past, but now I find myself perishing anew. Once more, the fear of death hunts me.
Or... did I ever truly die at all?
