Edania Research Log - Entry 1

I have arrived in Edania, dragged here by that mad professor in pursuit of some grand achievement. As a lowly assistant with neither experience nor wealth, I had no choice but to follow him like a dog on a leash. Are archaeologists not afraid of death? There are moments I feel I could kill him myself, but I never do.

The towering castle ahead seems almost welcoming. I can nearly hear the monsters within, hungry and waiting to devour me.
