Enduring Pain

One by one, they disappear. Some vanished after defying her. Others were swallowed by the darkness. Even those who remain are nearing their limits. She is changing, slowly, undeniably, and our faith weakens with each passing day. I don't know how much time I have left. In the end, I will have to make the same choice they did... and I will likely meet the same fate. Part of me wishes that moment would come quickly. Another part prays it never arrives.
