The rookie is in critical condition. Damn it... he has to regain consciousness.
This is my fault. I relied too heavily on past experience. When I touched the pillar, I assumed nothing would happen. It was a trap. Monsters poured out instantly. And that reckless fool... he threw himself in front of me and took the blow.
I administered first aid, but he hasn't woken since. There's no way I can drag a gravely wounded man all the way back to the sanctuary. He has to wake up.
I'm sorry for being so hard on you. The fool who was still acting like a new recruit was not you. It was me. Please, I cannot bear to see someone else die because of me again.
