Shim the Blind

Shim the Blind always felt sorry for his only child, Shim Cheong NPC Knowledge, for looking after him all her life.

One day, while doing laundry at the stream, a woman told him that everything went well after she did everything a mudang told her to do. Despite his blindness, he found the way to the mudang asked her Shim Cheong NPC Knowledge's fortunes. The mudang said that both father and daughter would have great fortune if they offer three hundred sacks of rice, to which he promptly promised.

But when the promised date drew near, he grew restless. Shim Cheong NPC Knowledge soon found out about her father's worries and offered herself instead of the rice, so she jumped into the sea at the Ooldool Strait cliff. Devastated after hearing this news, Shim the Blind wanders the cliff, seeking passing adventurers for help.
