Portrait of the Princess
Description
A young king who reached the age for marriage received many portraits of the princesses from the nearby kingdoms. The king soon fell in love with one of them. He wrote poems for her several times and sent her silk one day, then a wagon full of jewels another day. The princess still did not accept the king. As a last resort, the king hired a painter to draw his portrait (and touch things up a bit here and there), and sent it to her.
Impressed, the princess finally consented to meet in person. The war between the two kingdoms broke out thusly.
