Despite their physical superiority, Giants have remained in Keplan all because of they lacked the need for territorial expansion. The discovery and mining of the Black Crystal Knowledge Item, however, would devastate the land of Keplan, and would stir up internal strife within the tribe.

Those who sided with Chief Gehaku NPC Knowledge insisted on moving to the south to retain their old way of life, while those by the young Tantu's side argued that based on his observations of Human greed, moving closer into the Human's lands would end up in the extermination of the entire Giant tribe.

Tantu was quite small for a Giant, such that he was known as "Little Tantu," which, of course, he detested. His determination and aggressiveness were more than enough to lead the young Giants nevertheless, and he was also smart enough to impose his ambitions over them. Moreover, his adventurousness led him to travel all over the continent to find a place for the tribe to live and prosper.
