Dead, snow white coral is ground down and used to make fine lime powder. Though it cannot be produced in the same quantities as lime powder from a limestone mine, coral powder is becoming extremely popular as a cosmetics ingredient among aristocratic ladies, since it has a much lower toxic content. Coral is also a popular decorative item, since it keeps its shape from when it was alive. Although it loses its color upon death, it can be dyed to the color of one's choosing.
