Maruv, an ancient ruins explorer from Tarif, says he needs to investigate the Ancient Ruins Guard Tower in order to find out why the artifacts of Tungrad were awakened. Defeat Balten to get Balten's Mask and defeat the Ancient Ruins Guard Tower to get the Ancient Ruins Guard Tower Core, then go back to Maruv.
