She harbored dreams of becoming the most renowned hunter, envisioning a village that would one day bear her name. Though I was moved by her lofty aspirations, I couldn't resist teasing her. "Hahaha, I think I'll become the chief of Velia faster than you can establish a village with your name!"

The child, undeterred, boasted that she would claim victory in the hunting contest set to begin tomorrow. A hunting contest, you say? The mere thought of it set my heart pounding with anticipation. After all, I grasped a matchlock before I even took my first steps! I vowed to join the child in the contest on the morrow. The excitement of stretching my limbs after so long kept sleep at bay.
