After the experience of that peculiar day, I continued to see rifts encumbered in darkness. Dark Rifts, I shall call them. I even heard chilling voices that seem to call me to them. I reminded myself that I had nothing left to lose in my life, and it couldn't get any worse.

This time, I faced off against a monstrosity of a man from the darkness who had a helmet hiding his face and a thorn-riddled weapon requiring both hands. Contrary to his bulky figure, he was quite agile. His fast punches and connecting leap attacks looked like they could break multiple bones upon impact.

Thankfully, I figured out that evading his leap attacks was the key to landing blows of my own! Was I learning from my past experiences?
