The Path to Destruction Begun

Without a moment's rest, I hastened to the Kingdom of Balenos. Upon my return to the ruins of Cron Castle, I beheld a sight most dreadful. The Black Sacred Tree's sapling had taken root within the castle, just as I had feared. Hadum had indeed crossed into our world.

I hurriedly unearthed the sapling and placed it in my pocket. And in that instant, visions of immense pain and hellish torment unfolded before me. With each step I took, a fear akin to death gripped me, yet I could not abandon my quest for the sake of my wife and daughter left behind at home.

Barely, I reached a nearby village. From the general goods vendor, I obtained a crystal marble to contain the sapling. I needed to purge Hadum's power from the tree sealed within the marble. The task was so perilous that I had no choice but to head to a rarely frequented, remote place. There, I found a cave and set up camp deep within.
