Basquean Ljurik NPC Knowledge told you he heard ominous news from an adventurer recently. He heard that the Priests at Kzarka Shrine are collecting some sort of marks of promise.

A mark of promise is a fragment of Kzarka that spreads everywhere when Kzarka disappears. They collect these for the Advent of Kzarka.

Basquean said he can't let this happen and needs to know the truth. Find evidence at Cron Castle and ask someone who knows about Cron Castle.

Those are fragments that spread when Kzarka is defeated.
They're collecting these to return them to Kzarka.
