Chapter 2: Lee Duksoo NPC Knowledge the Yeongam of the East

Lee Duksoo, born of a servant mother, was highly educated but could only enter the government through military exams. It was highly unusual for someone from his background to be appointed as a warden. Yet, his remarkable martial arts skills helped him become both warden and lieutenant general at the same time.

According to Sungyeom NPC Knowledge, who was the Yeongam's closest aide, he dreams of being prime minister. His life has been surprisingly successful given his background, so why does he work so hard?

His mother's death at the hands of his father's jealous wife fuels his ambition and obsession with success. Thanks to this, his performance as the Warden of Donghae Province is highly regarded.

Initially disregarded by the Hyungam, he seemed accustomed to discrimination and contempt. It is somewhat bitter to see how quickly he made the Hyungam one of his own. But even so, he has failed to be appointed to Seoul for ten years, and now appears old and tired.

Anyway, many people in Donghae Province look up to Lee Duksoo. They are waiting for the day he goes to Seoul, as if it were a promise.
