Objective
Being written on a special Traveler's Map, Patrigio NPC Knowledge's letter teleports you to his location. Let's see why he's called for you.

and yet, you don't fear that they may betray you one day...
Hahaha. Of course. When I was your age,
I too thought it easy to give up my life for my friends.
Fine! I shall respect my daughter's decision.

Hmm... the color scheme is horrendous, and yet...
it feels somewhat familiar, as if it is something I misplaced long ago.

Oh, one more thing. This is Labao.
We found him some years ago, carried in by the tides of Crow's Nest.
He was very badly injured, but Lavala NPC Knowledge and Ravinia NPC Knowledge nursed him back to health.
Sadly, the accident seems to have robbed him of all his memories though.
So, why am I introducing this Otter to you now?
Because you'll always be my little girl. One whom I feel I've abandoned to the sea.
I'm sure your Scallywag friends are quite capable and all,
but I feel they're still a little too green around their whiskers to keep you safe.
Despite his tragic past, or lack thereof, I know I can trust Labao.
He has proven himself in combat, so will serve you well as the newest Scallywag.
I saw from Crow's Nest how your Scallywags swam
through the waves you raised for them.
Being together makes us stronger indeed. And happier.
I entrust Labao into your care, for now and for all journeys ahead.
