Chapter 3: The Last Princess

In the sudden uprising, many lives were lost. Among the fallen was the entire royal family of the High Clouds kingdom, save for one—the youngest princess, who was born that very day and remained alone.

Yojin, a loyal Palace Guard, protected the young princess until the end. And the faithful Biwon fought valiantly against the rebels, but ultimately sacrificing his life. Yet, even such unwavering loyalty proved futile, as the Land of the High Clouds succumbed to war and faced its downfall shortly after.

Biwon's undying loyalty transformed him into an immortal being, the "Bulgasal," unable to find peace in death. As a Bulgasal, he lingered in the ruins of the old High Clouds kingdom, barring any from entering Holbon who were not of the kingdom's former people. Even Hwasun Valley sent parties to subjugate him, but they met with repeated failure.
