As soon as Emma wore the necklace, her symptoms subsided, and word spread all throughout Velia.

From the common cold to severe illnesses that paralyzed the body, all sorts of patients sought my help, and I could not bear to turn them away.

From the weeds strewn about the streets to animal blood to ores deep in the soil...I sought out the necessary ingredients and gave them what they needed. My lovely daughters did what they could with their tiny hands to help out.

My children were growing up too fast, thanks to the fool that was their father. An apologetic thought crossed my mind, yet I had not the luxury to let it linger.

I was carrying on the mission to help these people and save the world, even if it meant that I had to offer myself up as the ingredient of salvation,

and I had to further my still severely lacking skills in alchemy. That my efforts today would not have been spent in vain...
