Just as I was about to leave Velia, hanging by a thread, I ran into the little boy who had guided me to the inn.
He was a descendant of the Royal House Bartali, who became a commoner after Calpheon conquered Balenos.
The boy burst into tears staring at the inn which was reduced to ashes by the fire. I gave him what little money I had in my pocket and my condolences.
After the awkward encounter between a commoner who became a noble, and a royalty who became a commoner, I left Velia in a hurry.
