The villagers finally show some interest after I show them an earring of the witch.

I learn that the village was full of scholars studying ancient alchemy, but was left to ruins after the appearance of the witch.

The child I met was also not the witch's daughter but the daughter of a woman who passed away from an illness. They called her Marie.

She was known to be quite strange as a child and was always alone.

I tell the chief of the village where I'd left her, and promised to come back every once in a while to make sure that the child finds a life in the village.

I only wish for the villagers to be happy. The village is committed to studying a practice that will be of great help to all in our world.

Perhaps one day, this village will become the center of Calpheon.
