Chapter 5: The Journey's End

The king nodded approvingly at Mongryong and then turned his gaze to the traveler.

"And you, Traveler. You have vanquished the corrupt Lee Duksoo NPC Knowledge and Jang Iksoon NPC Knowledge from Donghae Province, protected the people and the royal family by crushing the sinister ambitions of the Centipede Market and the traitor Jang Daeseung NPC Knowledge, and purified the sacred Bonghwang, restoring morning to our land. Truly, your heroic deeds are nothing short of legendary. In recognition of your service, I hereby bestow upon you the title of Grand Minister."

"Your... Your Majesty! To bestow such a title means...!"

"Indeed. Henceforth, the Traveler shall be regarded as a senior member of the royal family. We've prepared a residence for you within the palace. Traveler, will you accept my proposal?"

The king's unprecedented offer to treat the traveler, a friend of his aunt Yeonhwa, as a member of the royal family was a testament to his desire for the traveler to remain by his side. Despite the extraordinary nature of the proposal, no one opposed it, given the traveler's monumental contributions to the country. The traveler nodded, accepting the king's offer.

"Thank you. It is most reassuring to have you as my elder. I vow to lead this great nation, honoring the wishes of all the loyal court officials and the people. I ask you all to offer your wisdom and criticism, to help me overcome my inexperience."

And so, the traveler's adventure in the Land of the Morning Light came to an end.
