Dialogue
Many moons ago, I took in a little girl I found half starved
and nearly dead near the entrance of the village.
At the time I believed it was fate. The child was brilliant and
showed a talent for anything she put her mind to.
Deep down,
I even secretly wished that she would become my successor.
She was full of curiosities. Perhaps too much for her own good.
She was the type to even risk her life to sate her appetite for knowledge.
Her curiosities soon led her to seek out forbidden texts and rituals.
I suppose in some ways she was just like any other child though.
The more I tried to keep her away from such things, the more she was drawn to them.
This wasn't puerile rebellion, though. It wasn't something she would eventually grow out of.
This little girl became none other than Illezra,
the bringer of the Three Days of Darkness.
She studied long forgotten texts, taught herself magic
and learned spells to open very powerful forbidden books.
Those books contained more than just text.
Go visit the room where Illezra once resided.
You'll understand what I mean once you are there.
