Chapter 6: Dreaming of Martial God Victory

Time flew by, and the day of the Martial God Tournament arrived. Uturi proudly participated in the preliminaries and clinched victory. Hungry and on the way back to Bukpo, Uturi spotted a traveler fighting off a group of bandits. Uturi joined the fight and helped save the merchants who were being plundered by the bandits. The traveler who fought alongside him seemed incredibly strong, and he wanted to challenge them.

"Ugh... Using so much of my strength has drained me... I'm hungry-turi. I'll be off now, see you next time-turi-!"

Uturi was too hungry and parted ways with the traveler. After returning to Bukpo and filling his belly, Uturi suddenly thought of the traveler he had met. He had a feeling that the traveler, like himself, had come to participate in the Martial God Tournament. Uturi dashed to the tournament venue.

Sure enough, the traveler was causing a stir at the Martial God Tournament. They easily passed the preliminaries and was starting the winners' bracket match. Their opponent was Jang Iksoon. He seemed to be from a very famous family. But Uturi could tell just at a glance that he was no match for the traveler.

"It's time for the ultimate showdown! Group C versus Group D! Are you ready? Make——some——noise!! Let——the battle——begin———!"

With an energetic introduction from the host, the match began.
As expected, the match ended quickly with the traveler's easy victory, just as Uturi had thought.

"Ah? The noble Traveler! We meet once more! Vic-turi-ous in the preliminaries, righ-turi? I knew it-turi! I look forward to i-turi-turi! Let's do our best and have a fair contes-turi!"

After parting ways with the traveler, and as all the audience left, Uturi was left alone and lost in thought at the empty Martial God Tournament arena. Finally, tomorrow was the day. If he is able to win the tournament tomorrow, he can proudly join the Seoryeon Corps.

At that moment, Uturi felt something hot and metallic at his left side. Then, he lost consciousness.
