The reason why no basilisk attacked Kunid's Shelter
was because of the Blessing of Aal spread by the Statue of Comfort!
Yet my grandma always warned that the desert traveler
needed be most vigilant against comfort itself.
"If you setup camp at the sight of sweet illusions from afar,
and remain 'til the end, no 'morrow you shall find."
"Beware the unopened gate,
guarded by Statue of Comfort."
It may be why the basilisks stayed in their dens...not because
of the statue, but fear of what lay beyond the gate...
Whew. Whenever grown-ups hear me tell this tale,
they say kids shouldn't talk of such things and ignore me!
