Chapter 9: How to Save the People

The traveler and Dolswe wanted the people to lose their memories to the Blue-clad Youth no longer. After much deliberation, Dolswe came up with a clever plan.

"Oh, I know! We should whip up our own fake handbook. I know a thing or two 'bout writin'. I'm sure we can pull it off."

The plan was to spread a fake handbook to make people give random and absurd answers, startling the Blue-clad Youth. Even while Dolswe was preparing the fake handbook, other people who had bought the handbook kept coming to find the Blue-clad Youth. The traveler did everything they could to prevent people from climbing the mountain.

"Hey! What's wrong with you? Why are you stopping people?"

After blocking them for a long time, the fake handbook was finally complete. The traveler and Dolswe watched the people take the fake handbook. The fastest one had already gone ahead and met the Blue-clad Youth, returning.

"Back already? Have you completed your studies? How was it? Does your mind feel any clearer now?"
"Some audacious child, clad in blue, dared to approach me with a riddle. I provided the answer precisely as outlined in the handbook, of course. But he had the cheek to tell me to get lost and stop being a nuisance? Hmph!"

Fortunately, the traveler and Dolswe's trick had worked. The Blue-clad Youth no longer stole people's memories.

"I've waited for ages. But I know now... the child... may never return... Henceforth, I shall meet with none. Let the rumors fade."
