Chapter 1: Maewol

There was a very diligent wandering merchant in the Land of the Morning Light. He had beautiful daughter named Maewol. She was such a sweet girl, she would never complain during their travels, whether it was to Nampo, Dalbeol, or Nopsae.

However, Maewol was not just kind-hearted, she was also beautiful beyond words, and her laughter was as warm as the sun, making any man who laid eyes on her feel like they were under her spell.

She and her father often went to Dalbeol Village to sell his goods, and they were mostly sold to the wealthiest household in the village, the Honorable Choi House. On such occasions, all the men in town would gather around the walls of the Choi House, despite knowing that Maewol was already engaged to be married.

Maewol was so stunningly beautiful that even a mere glimpse of her was enough to turn heads. This led the third daughter of the Honorable Choi House to become insanely jealous, enough that she would use anything against Maewol to hurt her.
