Objective
Old Moon researcher Rudd asked you for help with his guild's new research. Go to Hexe Sanctuary to defeat the skeletons there to collect their Spirit of Fire and return to Rudd.

※ You cannot do the quests [Event] Faint Old Moon Necklace I (Combat) and [Event] Faint Old Moon Necklace II (Fishing) at the same time.

If you go fight the enemies at Hexe Sanctuary the Spirit of Fire should accumulate automatically.
Oh, and before you go can I have the letter back? I should get rid of that for you.
