The ceramics artisan L'al Hammi is proud of Valencian ceramics. He doesn't consider anything made outside of Valencia and Mediah to be worthy of being called "ceramics." He derides Calpheonian pottery as being too flamboyant and superficial, and says craftsmen of that nation ignore fundamentals of the trade.
