When Shakatu discovered that his treasures had gone missing, he summoned Decatis for questioning. Faced with persistent inquiries, Decatis hesitated and eventually confessed to the theft. Unable to maintain trust in someone who had betrayed him, Shakatu banished Decatis. Lost and with nowhere else to turn, Decatis settled in Asparkan, a land of dust and ashes.
