Gyehyang, the Big Auntie of Yukjo Street, has been running the tavern for 20 years. She has fed many officials who commute to and from Yukjo Street, and as a result, she boasts a wider network than most yangbans.
Although Gyehyang is usually warm and kind-hearted, her social influence makes even the most prideful officials to beg for her mercy when she gets angry.
