There was once a time when Umter considered closing his market street carpet shop. However, when he started making snowshoes on the side to get through the cold winter days, people started taking note and, to his surprise, his shop became hugely popular. What started as a side job soon became his main profession and eventually he started trading winter gear instead of carpets.
However, a visit by the Khan's second son for winter gear, shortly before his disappearance, remains a source of discomfort for Umter.
