A battle-scarred veteran of Serendia, he is a living legend who has led countless wars to victory. Calpheon boasts no shortage of famed commanders, Delphad Castillion, Brego Williar, Fridri Dofricson, and more, but ask any soldier who stands as the greatest captain in the western continent, and none will dispute the answer: Johann Cliff, the Steel Lion of Serendia. Justin Bartali was convinced there was no one else fit to serve as Professor of Combat at Olvia Academy. After relentless persuasion, he finally won Cliff's acceptance of the post, on one condition: a solemn promise that adventurers who graduate would not be bound into the service of any single nation. And so, not as a general on the march, but as a professor of war, Cliff now meets the students of Olvia Academy, teaching them the art of combat.
