It wasn't a big deal at first.
It was just supposed to be a friendly competition to see who the best blacksmith was.
I don't know if you've heard, but there's a famous battle arena in Altinova.
The warriors there wield nothing but the best weapons, so obviously they'd use ours.
Two warriors faced each other in the arena.
One wielded a blade made by myself, the other a blade made by Dorin.
And then...

... After Dorin disappeared, Mevo Muranan NPC Knowledge challenged me as he did Dorin.
He wanted to see whose weapon would fare better in the arena.
Although Mevo used Black Crystals to forge his weapons,
I knew his casting methods were far inferior to mine.
Why, I didn't think for a second that I'd lose. My weapons were far more advanced
than anything he ever made with that amateurish method of his!
But... I was wrong.
Thinking back, I was naive.
On the day of the battle, two warriors faced each other
with the weapons forged by Mevo Muranan and I.
When the two weapons clashed, my weapon shattered...
and with it, my heart was broken into a thousand pieces.
I was dumbfounded,
but then I ran to examine the weapon he made up close and it was
only then that I realized the method
he used to craft his weapon was identical to mine!
