When I was a marine, I woke up and found myself on Daton Island, like that guard you met.
I have been haunted by what happened to me ever since,
and when I close my eyes, the nightmare continues.
I was surprised when Falasi told me about the letter Lavine found.
The contents of that letter and my nightmares were so similar.
I traveled far and wide after I retired in order to figure out what happened to me.
Then I realized that maybe I was not only cursed, but haunted.
In a faraway land, I came across a paper charm.
I heard that you can talk to spirits and ghosts for a brief moment
if you burn the charm and sprinkle its ashes on your body...
I'll sprinkle some of that on you.
I'm too old and afraid to use it myself...
