About the Gifted Ones

Quest Text This is the journal of Francesca Seric,
the last hidden heir to the throne of Calpheon.

Summary ...Echidna took the gifted children back
to the roots of Quturan.
They wore the Thorn of Quturan on their arms
and wielded the weapon with great skill that manifested from it...
Talent...was a gift from the goddess.
A blessing in return for pleasing her.
Every day, someone of my exact appearance and memory
would come and battle me with a morning star in one hand.
Amidst this insanity, I remembered my father's words.
"There is no throne that goes unstained in blood"
Yes... These children are merely a trial presented by the goddess.
It is a test to earn the gift.
I must overcome this. I cannot be replaced.
I must exist as a whole. Alone.
I am the rightful heir to the Kingdom of Calpheon.
At the end of these trials, I shall become the true queen of thorns and reclaim my kingdom.

Summary Axian was the last king of Orzeca
who was destroyed with his kingdom
as Kzarka, the God of Hope, laid rampage to the lands.
He drank, bathed, and drew paintings
from the blood of victims sacrificed at the altar of Kzarka.
When the kingdom's end was near, people began to realize his true nature.
Alas, what a wretched face of the man...
In hope for redemption, the people began to seek the goddess of darkness
that they had worshipped in the past before Kzarka the God of Hope.
The goddess of darkness, her hands now tied in thorny vines,
was the creator of the divine tree Quturan gave birth to Kzarka.
The unfortunate, broken, distorted goddess
who was forgotten after the birth of Kzarka...
The goddess pulled out a thorn of Quturan and handed it over to the people.
"He shall bear his blood-stained crown even in his death."
The next day, Axian was found dead
with the thorn of Quturan pierced into his heart.
Orzeca crumbled into ashes shortly after.
