You're going to die if you stay like this. You don't want to die, do you?
Yes. You're going to hand me over to them.
To the natives that my ancestors allegedly massacred, that is.
I thought they were all dead, now.
But maybe I was wrong.

Step 4
Objective
...Where am I from? When I woke up, there was a black spirit NPC Knowledge, and I lost my memory.
Summary
It seems like you have no memories either.
You just let life take you wherever.
Just like me. Has anything like this ever occurred to you?
What if there's an unbearable truth that I'm unaware of in this world?
What if the stories I hear, the things that make me move,
everything is just a dream?
That's what I thought. That's how I lived.
My first memory was in the sewers of Calpheon.
I read a journal under the moonlight.
It belonged to someone who was sleeping next to me.
I read it every night in secret.
For how long? Until I realized that
the man next to me wasn't sleeping because the moon lit the sky,
but that his eyes were closed because he was dead.
When flies laid their eggs and the stench of
rotting flesh started to fill up the streets,
soldiers in armors came and pointed fingers at me.
They found the twelve marks behind the dead person's neck
and burned his body screaming that he was a Vell Pirate.
I have no idea who that person was, or if we were related.
But I also had the twelve marks.
So I knew instinctively, it wouldn't be easy for me
to survive on the streets of Calpheon.
