At the Sea Palace NPC Knowledge, you found Shim Cheong NPC Knowledge already working as the Sari Flower caretaker, thanks to her diligent and capable personality. You asked her to follow you to the surface, and she responded with uncertainty. However, she suggested that by repairing the recently broken Netherworld Gate NPC Knowledge, there might be a chance that the Dragon King NPC Knowledge would permit her return. As you helped Shim Cheong gather clues to repair the gate, she grew suspicious of the sparrow that had kindly greeted her when she first arrived. Nevertheless, Shim Cheong succeeded in fixing the gate.

After the Netherworld Gate NPC Knowledge was repaired, two courtiers revealed the sparrow's secret. The sparrow was in fact Shim Cheong NPC Knowledge's mother, a former Netherworld Maiden who guided souls from the Sea Palace NPC Knowledge to the netherworld. She fell in love with Shim the Blind NPC Knowledge, so she disobeyed the Dragon King NPC Knowledge's orders and rose to the surface, and died while giving birth to Shim Cheong. The sparrow headed to the netherworld to bloom Sari Flowers in Shim Cheong's place, and Shim Cheong decides to take on the role of Netherworld Maiden and guide her mother to the netherworld.

As a reward for fixing the Netherworld Gate NPC Knowledge, Shim Cheong NPC Knowledge requested the medicine brewed with the Sari Flower bloomed from her mother's soul to be sent to Shim the Blind NPC Knowledge. Her father received the medicine and miraculously regained his sight.
