Chapter 2: Waves of Holy Energy

Beyond the treacherous fields of southern Edania, I entered the Amberwilds of Orbita. Scorched craters marked the earth, as if some immense force had struck from the heavens. What catastrophe unfolded here?

As I searched the ruins, a Valkyrie with fiery red hair stumbled toward me.

"Y-you there...! P-please, help...! I-I don't want to die...!"

Desperation filled her voice, but before I could move, her body twisted, transforming into a monstrous form—the very same I had seen in Aetherion.

Caught off guard, I was driven back. Suddenly, a mysterious figure appeared, driving a greatsword through the beast.

"...Return to Elion's embrace."

She looked at me with suspicion, believing I too would become a monster, and attacked. After a tense struggle, she realized I was not like the others and withdrew. But at that moment, a wave of holy energy erupted from the heart of Orbita.

"Sorry, I mistook you for a <b>Failed One</b>. There is no need for us to fight. Tell me: who are you?"
