I thought I was done for! But I told myself a herald's gotta be more resilient than that!
I clawed my way out of that pit, I did, and my sharp eyes caught the glint of a golden sanctum in the distance.
I'd heard about these places of worship in Calpheon, so I hauled myself up, rubbed the sand from my eyes, and went to seek refuge from the desert sun.
If Aal's light shines on Valencia, I'm not going to stand in the shade. Besides, you know what they say: when in Valencia, do as the Valencians do.
So I tried out their rituals, seemin' to please many of them enough to share more of Aal's teachings with me. They also told me where to find their other sanctums throughout the desert, which was of particular interest...
