Objective
Dwarves who fled from the Crypt of Resting Thoughts in O'dyllita told you to look at the records they stole. Read Orzeca's Records: Echidna Convent.

Only the descendants of Orzeca
can read the language of the ancient kingdom.
I mean, well...you gave us the
Flame of Mercy,
so I guess we could summarize it up for ya?
One of the knowledge we stole was regarding the Echidna Convent,
which was a pivotal location to the Ancient Kingdom of Orzeca.
High priestess Echidna, who oversaw the convent,
utilized alchemy with the power of Quturan, the Divine Tree,
to cultivate artificial humans, or homunculi.
Regarding that tale...
the current master of O'dyllita, the queen of the Ahib
uncovered that convent and is conducting the same experiments.
Apparently she's trying to raise warriors to fight Hadum or something...
but that is the realm of the gods, and, in the end, will result in tragedy.
Those who were sacrificed in the process,
and the blameless children who were born...
We sought this place to make amends for these mistakes.
The power of Edana... It should provide a way, no?

"Not many may know, but when the Echidna Convent
was first revealed after a landslide, we found something else.
An incomplete homunculus in ice-cold slumber,
along with countless other homunculi tangled beneath Quturan's roots."
And so she commanded us to uncover the meaning of this discovery,
as we toiled to interpret the records of Orzeca.
For that shield only reacted to the homunculi of Echidna!
