Because of what... by what... and for what... am I cursed to live this wretched life? Locked in the present by the incomprehensible state of reality, it was at that very moment, burdened by such questions I felt eternally-doomed to never discover the answer to...

It was her... she who had graced me with her presence before... she suddenly appeared before me once more. I froze, unable to move a muscle. She placed her hand upon my head, and immediately I lost consciousness. Upon regaining my senses, I found myself upon an indescribable field of green in some distant land. Before me I saw what constituted a "dark rift" of sorts, and her, alongside an enormous Ahib Griffon.

She spoke towards me. "Become that monstrosity, and entertain such adventurers." My insides screamed, yearning to reject and flee from her decree, yet I simply stood there, immobile. She spoke once more. "For what reason, you ask? There is none. That is simply who you are to become."

And so, born anew, incarnated into a new vessel of flesh, I was trapped within the Dark Rift. There I was doomed, to forever await an encounter with a fated adventurer... for eternity...
