Chapter 6: The Shunned Village

"Again, again, again! You're frowning again!! Didn't I tell you it's half air, half sound?!"

As Dolswe NPC Knowledge had predicted, Kim Geumryun, neglecting other state affairs, was holed up in the National Music Institution, scolding innocent musicians. The traveler intervened, questioning Kim Geumryun about the dire situation in Dongmakgol and why he was doing nothing to help.

"Ah, Dongmakgol. Yes. But what does that have to do with you? Feeling a bit of pity for the masses? Heh. Do you know what we do when the livestock get sick? First, we isolate the infected cow from the other cows. The dead cow from the epidemic is sent far, far away, where no one treads, and buried deep beneath the ground. If we do that with livestock, why do you think it would be any different with people? Especially as Dongmakgol is..."

Kim Geumryun's words were nonsense, and he waved away the traveler. With many eyes watching, the traveler couldn't risk confronting Kim Geumryun directly, either. After consulting with Dolswe, they decided to help Dongmakgol themselves. The two sought out a healer at the Infirmary and made a proposal.

"You want to make a nourishing decoction to send to Dongmakgol? Sounds like a plan. Ignoring their plight hasn't been easy on my soul."

The healer, who had been forced to turn away patients due to the kingdom's laws, gladly accepted the traveler and Dolswe's proposal. Thus, the three joined forces to create a precious restorative decoction. With the medicine in hand, the traveler and Dolswe set off once more for Dongmakgol.
