Objective
An Adventurer's Story (2/4)
February 2024: The Land of Despair - Elvia Realm
Having postponed my treasure dreams, I headed to the Elvia Realm. The landscape, tainted by the god of despair, Hadum, seemed to reflect my inner state. However, I couldn't give up, so I slowly upgraded my accessories and Alchemy Stone, growing my character step by step. As the saying goes, "Knowing the enemy and myself, I can win the battle". I practiced with the "Succession Warrior", the same class of the character who had attacked me. It was a tough time, but I endured with the goal of one day taking revenge and completing the compass.
March 2024: Equipment for Exploring a Wider World - Epheria Carrack
After finishing my spec upgrades in Elvia, I set out to find other monster zones. At that time, the
Ocean Haze Ring was released, and profit on Padix Island was rising. Although it was a challenging treasure, I heard it was a place where I could obtain the
Rich Merchant's Ring Piece, so I spent a considerable amount of time there, even though I didn't ultimately acquire the treasure.
During this process, I was able to construct a Carrack. This Carrack reignited my interest in the game through sailing, providing a short-term goal that wasn't PvE-related, making it enjoyable to craft despite not being a treasure. The Carrack I built during this time is still being used for bartering, PvE in the Great Ocean to create Ebenruth's Nol Knowledge Item, and helping adventurers without means of transportation. Although it was somewhat different from getting treasures, it was an experience worth recording in my Adventure Log.
April 2024: Another Journey to Utilize Vodkhan NPC Knowledge Parts - City of the Dead
By April, my specs were sufficient to return to Hystria for PvE, but I decided to make use of the Vodkhan Parts I had already obtained by heading to Ulukita, the City of the Dead, where Mediahn deserters had turned into monsters. It was somewhat bittersweet, as my PvE there made me feel as if I'd become one of the Tehmelun soldiers myself.
This period also had other enjoyable content, such as crafting flames for Slumbering Origin defense gear. I experienced party PVE for the first time in Tunkuta, and the snowy scenery of the Jade Starlight Forest was breathtakingly beautiful. The Black Shrine, which I enjoyed during the
Flame of Hongik crafting process, was also fun. As a side note, the Black Shrine I practiced then is now used to provide buffs when playing with friends. Each piece of content I've engaged in has contributed to my specs in a way that differs from general spec upgrades. Approaching treasure from a perspective of internal growth was similar. Although the direction of enjoyment differs, I've been gathering specs in a different way.
