An Adventurer's Story (4/4)

August 2024: A Brief Moment of Leisure - Blue Maned Lion's Manor

When I completed the Rich Merchant's Ring, I received an overwhelming amount of congratulations through server chat, whispers, and even world chat. At that time, I was exhausted, so I started checking out housing as a form of rest, something I had wanted to try. In the completed manor, I invited friends to enjoy ensemble performances, and I even invited a GM to explain various aspects of the manor, making for a fun time. Some people warned against housing, calling it one of Black Desert's three taboos. However, because it was a niche content with a small user base, I became closer to those with similar interests, and the sense of accomplishment was greater due to the effort involved. I hope those reading this, if interested, won't be too afraid to start housing and comfortably approach it.

September 2024: The Three Mythical Dream Horses and Krogdalo's Sanctuary

Having completed a manor that was the envy of others, I began combining censer materials I had been collecting. I had been doing Grand Prix and Training quests whenever I had the chance, so I could make about 50 censers with the materials I had gathered. Although I wasn't particularly lucky in the game, I headed to Stonetail Horse Ranch without high expectations, but to my surprise, I obtained the three Mythical Dream Horses without consuming even half of the censers. This way, I completed all treasures except for the compass and Ebenruth's Nol Knowledge Item. No matter how much I tried to divert my attention to other content, my path inevitably led back to Hystria Ruins.

October 2024: Finally Completing Lafi Bedmountain's Upgraded Compass Knowledge Item

The month marking exactly one year since I started the game. In the late hours past 5 AM, a Tukar Balten NPC Knowledge piece dropped like a gift in Dehkia Hystria. In my excitement, I rushed to Aakman Temple, and about 3-4 days later, I obtained the final compass piece. Thus, exactly one year and four days after starting the game, I completed all the treasures obtainable from defeating monsters. I believe I might be the fastest player to obtain all five treasures in Black Desert. Even as I write this, the emotions of completing the compass are coming back to me.

Now, I plan to venture into the Great Ocean to complete Ebenruth's Nol or seek other challenging content, such as collecting titles from Black Shrine's hard mode. Black Desert is undoubtedly a complex and challenging game. However, there is also fun to be found in those challenges, and I believe there are no unattainable goals. Even an adventurer who started less than a year ago can create enviable treasures and a magnificent manor, and achieve world-class enhancement items within a short period. While each person's perspective and approach may differ, I hope those reading this will continue their happy adventures in their own way, undeterred by adversity.
