Emma Bartali NPC Knowledge suspects that the records are in the hands of the occupying forces in Cron Castle. She asked you to recover the lost records from the Commander of Cron Soldiers and bring it back to her.

many many times, but I'd think it a thing of the past and never listened closely.

However, that ghost...no, not only that ghost but
so many vengeful spirits of the past
still cry out from this damp, sunless place...
That also being the reason why it wasn't solved
by praying to the ancestors at the ossuary.
The answer...seems to lie in this very Cron Castle.
