Chapter 4: Viola NPC Item's Glowing Necklace
Just as Dodi foretold, beneath the great tree lay a hidden wooden chest. Within its depths, a necklace remained, and on its back was inscribed a single name: Viola.
"Edana. Did you find something at the tree? I've already searched around the castle's exterior. You should take a look inside."
Guided by the tale Viola left behind in Nymphamaré, we followed her trail of clues and discovered the journal she entrusted to memory.
"So I went to see Rusalka NPC Knowledge myself. I asked her—begged her—to tell me it wasn't true. But she just sat there in complete silence. She offered only a glance—to the guards. That was when I knew. I could no longer stay. I ran. I didn't know where—until, I found Patrigio NPC Knowledge. He said nothing—just took my hand and ran with me."
According to Viola's journal, it was not a Human, but Rusalka herself who turned the Merfolk to stone. Viola wrote that she fled from Rusalka's grasp with Patrigio by her side.
"It wasn't just that Rusalka turned our people to stone... She also trapped them using the Mermaid's Veil, the very treasure itself. So I split the treasure's power into the necklace—and hid it here. For anyone else who longs to escape... or who might come searching for me."
Together, Tumaini and I returned to Nymphamaré Castle, determined to find a way to reach her.
