Objective
Chapter 5: Demonlord of Nymphamaré
The gates of Nymphamaré Castle stood sealed, a veil of water as impenetrable as stone. Viola NPC Item's necklace stirred in my hand, its glow flickering before fading, its power seemingly spent.
"I think the necklace can soak up energy from its surroundings and then release it. If we purify the area by defeating the nearby monsters, we should be able to recharge the necklace with pure energy."
Following Tumaini's words, we cleansed the surrounding area. Gradually, the necklace reclaimed its radiant light.
"You may enter."
A voice rang out—low, commanding, and regal. Upon the Throne of Nymphamaré NPC Knowledge sat Queen Rusalka NPC Knowledge.
Tumaini spoke, explaining that his brethren had begun to turn to stone, and pleaded with Rusalka to share the cure. Rusalka eyed him with suspicion, questioning why he would seek such knowledge from her. Yet, at the mention of Viola's name, fury ignited within her.
"Viola...? Did you just say Viola? You dare speak that wretch's name before me?! I need to find her and make an example, to restore order to the kingdom."
Rusalka accused Viola of stealing the Mermaid's treasure, claiming her attacks on the Humans were only to retrieve what was lost. She promised to restore petrified Hashashins if we brought Viola before her.
"If they recognize what we've accomplished—not only will we cure my bretheren, I may earn my right to pilgrimage! It's all thanks to you! Hngh...! Thank you... Thank you so much!"
Tumaini offered his gratitude, but Rusalka had never intended to let us go free from the very beginning.
