Objective
Chapter 1: The Poor
In the Land of the Morning Light's Dalbeol Village, lived a lady named Goboon. Her husband was eager to prosper and make a fortune once Nampo opened. Alas, fate had other plans, as misfortune struck him and he lost everything, including their home.
Determined to restore their former livelihood, Goboon and her husband toiled relentlessly. However, things took a turn for the worse when their only son fell sick. In dire need of money, they received an alluring proposition.
The proposition involved mining gold beneath Gowun Plateau. However, with the value of gold so high, the act was forbidden by the country.
Goboon vehemently opposed it and tried to stop her husband. Despite her objections, her husband's determination to save their son was unwavering. Upon reaching the mines below Gowun Plateau, the husband found miners who were also in dire need of money.
Everyone worked hard, only to receive meager wages. No complaints were heard as they were all bound by their dire circumstances. Yet, disaster struck when the mines collapsed one fateful day.
